How to cook Halloween Pretzels
Complete These Steps For All Pretzels:
- Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Place the melts in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave at half power for 1 minute. Remove and stir in the coconut oil. Microwave at half power for 15-seconds intervals, stirring after every 15 seconds to prevent overheating.
- You are done when melts are completely smooth and there are no chunks.
For the Pumpkins:
- Drop the whole pretzel in the coating and submerge it slightly. Use a dowel or fork to pull the pretzel out of the melted mixture. Carefully place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place 1 green candy into the top indent of the pretzel on its side, so it’s standing up.
- Let sit for a minute and gently move the pretzels up on the baking sheet to remove excess coating.
- Let pretzels completely harden before removing from baking sheet.
For the Owls:
- Add an orange or yellow candy in the middle of the pretzel for the nose.
- Let sit for a minute and gently move the pretzels up on the baking sheet to remove excess coating.
- Transfer remaining dark chocolate to a squeeze bottle or pastry bag. Squeeze a small amount of chocolate in the top two holes of the pretzel covering completely.
- Add candy eyes.
- Squeeze two small amounts of chocolate on the top right and left sides of the pretzels and add the brown candy as ears.
For the Mummies:
- Transfer remaining white chocolate to a squeeze bottle or pastry bag.
- Squeeze a small amount of chocolate in the top two holes of the pretzel covering completely. Add candy eyes.
- Use remaining white chocolate to make mummy's cloth.
