Notes
If you don't have parchment paper, feel free to just grease the pan with baking spray. You can also apply the glaze over the brownies in the pan.
Lemon extract is optional, but I feel like it really gives the brownies extra lemon flavor that is nice.

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, or the bowl of a stand mixer add the butter and sugar. Mix until combined.
4. Add eggs, lemon juice, lemon zest, and lemon extract. Mix until well blended.
5. Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
6. Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly.
7. Bake for 20-22 minutes, until the top is firm, and the edges are slightly brown.
8. Let cool for 5 minutes in pan. Lift out the brownies from the pan using the parchment paper and let cool completely.
9. Make the glaze. In a bowl, add powdered sugar.
10. Add the lemon juice and lemon zest. Whisk until fully combined and mixture is smooth.
11. Spread glaze evenly over the brownies.
12. Allow the glaze to harden before cutting into squares. This will take around 30 minutes.
