Red, White and Blue Jell-o Salad

This festive and fun Jell-O dish is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday! Colorful, delicious and sure to make your dessert table a lot more fun!

1. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick baking spray. Set aside.

2. In a medium bowl, mix blue Jell-O box and 1 envelope unflavored gelatin together.

3. Add 2 cups boiling water and stir until gelatin is dissolved.

4. Add 2 cups cold water and mix until combined. Cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.

5. Pour blue Jell-O into baking dish. Carefully place in refrigerator and let set for around 45 minutes. While the blue Jell-O is setting, prepare the milk layer.

6. In a medium bowl, add 1/2 cup cold water. Sprinkle in 2 envelopes of gelatin and stir until combined. Set aside to soften.

7. In a medium bowl, add sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup boiling water. Whisk until combined. Let mixture cool for 5 minutes.

8. Add 1/2 cup of boiling water to gelatin and stir until all is dissolved. Add to the milk mixture and stir to combine. Cool to room temperature.

9. When blue Jell-O is set, pour the milk mixture over the first layer. Carefully place in refrigerator and let set for around 45 minutes. While the milk layer is setting, prepare the red Jell-O.

10. To make the red Jell-O, follow the same instructions as with the blue Jell-O.

11. When milk layer is set, pour the red Jell-O on top and carefully place in refrigerator. Allow to completely set for 6-8 hours…preferably overnight.

12. Use a sharp knife to cut the Jell-O squares and a small metal spatula to remove from baking dish. Sprinkle with candy stars if desired.

  • 5 1/2 cups boiling water
